Tips for Experiencing Church Online

Watching church on a screen is new for many of us and engaging digitally can be a challenge at first. Do you sing along to worship? Close your eyes? How about the kids? Do they watch the adult service with you, or do you all watch a kids’ service together? Here are a few tips to help you connect with God while we experience church together online:

• Pick your platform! You can stream and chat live on our website, YouTube or Facebook during our service times (8:30AM and 10AM on Sundays.) You can also watch a full service on our YouTube channel when it’s convenient for you.

• Set aside a place and time to have church — this can be in your living room on Sunday mornings or at your kitchen table any day!

• Eliminate distractions by turning your phone or computer on “do not disturb.”

• Be willing to worship along with a screen. While this can feel awkward at first, God can meet you just as powerfully while sitting on your couch as He does when you gather in a building with others.

• Invite others into the experience with you, and follow up on what you’re learning. Text, chat, or video call with others while you watch church. Life is better connected!
